Regular flights resumption tied to epidemiological status

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The resumption of regular flights between the Kingdom and any other country is contingent upon that country's epidemiological situation which has to be similar to or less dangerous than that of the Kingdom, according to Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner Captain Haitham Misto.
Also, Misto told Petra that the number of the Jordanians in any other country is another perquisite for the resumption of regular flights.
Misto outlined three priorities for the aviation sector: the Kingdom's health status, the safety of citizens and the return of Jordanian expatriates are utmost priorities.
The Kingdom's airports are ready to resume regular flights, he said, adding that the competent authorities are mulling the resumption of regular flight, a step, which he stressed "must be studied at all levels and a risk that must be well-calculated".
However, he pointed out that the principle is the gradual reopening and resumption of flights with certain countries and under strict criteria.
