Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Irbid Health Director, Dr. Riad Sheiab, said no new Covid-19 infections were recorded in the northern governorate until Sunday afternoon.

In a press statement to "Petra," he said all the 900 samples results collected from Saturday evening until this afternoon were negative.
The negative results signal stability of the epidemiological situation in Irbid, as the governorate has seen zero cases for the third consecutive day, according to Sheiab.

The epidemiological investigation teams operating in the governorate have increased the pace of their work to prepare and ward off any a second wave of the pandemic, he said.

The teams' efforts had successfully broken chain of infection and controled the disease after a number of infections were recorded last week in the northern city, according to Sheiab.
