Prince Ali visits the National Center for Security , checks on COVID-19 response efforts

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Royal Highness Prince Ali Ibn Al-Hussein Chairman of the National Center for Security and Crisis Management Center (NCSCM), visited the center on Thursday to oversee the latest developments related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

His Royal Highness Prince Ali underscored the importance of the center continuing to play the role of a coordinator between, Government, Jordanian Armed forces, various security agencies, and other national instititions, in providing the necessary infrastructure and tools.

During the meeting- HRH Prince Ali was presented with a brief by The Advisor to H.M. King Abdullah II, and Vice Chairman of the National Center for Security & Crisis Mansgement, Dr Abdullah Toukan, and several senior directors of the center on the strategic and media response plans, ongoing operations of COVID19 crisis team, and the various health and economic studies the center has produced.

Senior Advisor, retired Major General Jamal Madain high lighted the center’s preparedness to handle COVID19 based on the extensive training, educational programs and real-life Crisis & Risk Management simulation exercises the center’s staff have undergone since its establishment in 2013.

HRH Prince Ali commended the efforts made by the center and its central role in handling the COVID19 crisis thus far, and emphasized the importance of carrying out the directives and vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II for the center to function within a national framework, to coordinate and unify efforts and capabilities and to confront and manage any form of crisis the Kingdom might face in the future.
