Gov't to purchase confiscated masks, says JCD

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Finance, Mohammad Al-Asas, has issued an order to purchase more than 170,000 masks, which had been seized by the customs earlier as they were slated to be exported, and be delivered to the Ministry of Health, according to the Jordan Customs Department (JCD).

The department said in a statement today, Tuesday, that this is a precautionary measure taken by the government to tackle coronavirus, in order to ensure that masks remain available in the Kingdom.

The JCD had issued a circular banning the export of masks, sterilizers, medical gloves, and thermal detectors under the current circumstances.
