King urges collective work to address economic woes

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday stressed hard work, involving all parties, to find radical and tangible solutions to the economic situation, and move promptly with the implementation of programs that can achieve growth and improve the citizens' standard of living.

The King made the remarks as he attended part of a workshop held at the Al Husseiniyah Palace with the participation of economists, parliamentarians, academics and media figures.

The workshop is one in a series due to be held later aimed at coordinating with the economic, financial, academic and business sectors to come up with a participatory work program to boost the national economy and improve the living conditions of citizens.

The workshop was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State and the heads of the Senate and Lower House Finance Committees.
