Relatively hot weather today, autumn-like conditions until Friday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected today bringing relatively hot conditions across most regions and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

In the afternoon, the Kingdom will be affected by a weak state of unstable weather with chances of light showers accompanied by thunder at times. Winds will be easterly moderate to brisk, turning into northwesterly at night.

Mercury levels is forecast to slightly on Wednesday, bringing mild autumn-like conditions over the mountains and the plains while it will stay relatively hot in the rest of the Kingdom with clouds at medium altitudes and northeasterly to northwesterly moderate winds.

Similar weather conditions will continue on Thursday and Friday, with clouds at high altitudes and northwesterly winds.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and the southern cities will hover around 32 degrees Celsius dropping down to 20,22 and 19 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the Gulf of Aqaba with highs reaching 39 degrees and lows standing at 27, the JMD added.
