Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Preventive Security agents on Monday arrested the suspect in the armed robbery of a bank in a West Amman district, just one hour after the assault, according to a security source.

It said that the robbery took place this morning in the Abdoun district of the capital when an unidentified person with a firearm entered the branch of a local bank and stole 98,000 dinars at gunpoint.

The source said a team of the Protective Security immediately began an investigation and was able to identify the culprit and pinpoint his whereabouts. He was arrested and the firearm in his possession was seized, it said, adding that the suspect confessed in an initial investigation to planning and carrying out the assault.

It said the investigation was underway to recover the stolen amount.
