Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The State Security Court (SSC) issued verdicts in 14, 100 terrorism and drug cases during 2017, with a performance rate that almost hit 100 percent.
The court examined 320 terrorism cases and drug-related offences amounted to 13, 830 last year, according to the SSC Chief, Mohammed Afif.
Cases looked into last year plunged noticeably, a decrease primarily attributed to the key role of the Jordan Armed Forces and the Anti-Narcotics Department to foil diverse drug trafficking attempts, he added.
The army's tight border measures led to curbing terrorist infiltration bids and drugs smuggling schemes, which ultimately conduced to the apprehension of several drug traffickers, addicts, and dealers, he underlined.
