PM says Jordan's diplomacy spared Kingdom from regional crises

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki said on Tuesday that Jordan's diplomacy, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, has spared the country from the region's crises and that the Kingdom's balanced and moderate policy had won worldwide respect.

He spoke in a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs with minister Ayman Safadi, ambassadors and senior ministry staff.

The premier stressed the ministry's key role to professionally implement foreign policy and translate the King's vision and policies to defend the Arab nation's issues and Jordan's interests "in a manner to serve the Jordanian state's positions vis-a-vis various issues, enhance its role in dealing with current challenges and reflect the moderation and courage that were a characteristic of Jordan's diplomacy".

He hailed the ministry for "efficiently" addressing the political issues the region is witnessing and translating the positions of the Jordanian state towards the various issues, particularly the Palestinian issue and Jerusalem, which the King had led wisely and courageously.

The prime minister underlined the importance of the ministry's institutional development program in order to ensure effective performance, improve its level of services, enable it to meet its responsibilities, provide services and execute its tasks efficiently and effectively.

He also called for improving the level of consular services offered to expatriates, saying Jordanians abroad should see a significant improvement in the level of these services.

The foreign minister commended the prime minister's follow-up on to the ministry's policy and work, and his keenness on developing the level of services provided at home and abroad.

Safadi said the foreign ministry is keen on implementing the King's visions on various issues, as well as developing its services to citizens inside and outside the Kingdom.
