Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The 8th Annual Warrior Competition is being held at the King Abdullah II Special Operation Training Center in Jordan. Twenty-seven teams comprised of military, special operations, counterterrorism and law enforcement troops from around the globe are competing in this year’s games to see who will be the best warriors.
The games kicked off on Monday and will continue until May 6. Teams each made up of a leader, five competitors, and two alternative members will compete based on gear and permitted equipment in a series of events.
The games are judged by a panel of reputable international experts from various professional military and law enforcement backgrounds in the defense industry.
“The Annual Warrior Competition is a combat-oriented competition that is based on physical ability, team work, communication and individual accuracy,” say its organizers on their official website.
Teams from Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Iraq, Jordan and Palestine are among this year’s international competitors.
Russia’s Counter Terrorism Team 1 won last year’s games; China’s Assault Hawk Commando Unit came in second place, while Jordan’s Royal Guards came in third.
