FM heads to Cairo to participate in ministerial conference on Gaza

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi will begin Monday a working visit to Cairo, during which he will participate in the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Strengthen the Humanitarian Response in Gaza.

Safadi will also meet with a number of his counterparts.

Cairo is hosting an international conference to support and strengthen the humanitarian response to the Gaza Strip, under the title: "A Year of Humanitarian Catastrophe in Gaza: Urgent Needs and Sustainable Solutions."

The conference aims to mobilize broad international support to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and enhance the volume of humanitarian aid, by dealing with the current humanitarian disaster and providing the requirements for early recovery in the Gaza Strip.

The conference will address the political, security and humanitarian dimensions, and coordinate with various international and regional actors to push for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and seek a ceasefire and peace.
