King voices pride in Jordanian laborers

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II voiced pride in efforts of Jordanian laborers to achieve development and prosperity in the Kingdom.

During a visit to the Al Safi Factory for Garment Manufacturing in Thiban District in the southern Madaba Governorate on the occasion of labour day, the King expressed appreciation of accomplishments made by workers at the factory , which was established within a royal initiative in 2009.

King Abdullah also checked on the production line and success stories at the factory that employs 400 workers, 90 percent of whom are females. in addition to 16 handicapped workers.

His Majesty was also briefed by Director of the factory Farhan Afram on work mechanism of the factory that produces sports clothing that are fully exported to the United States, within the free trade agreement signed between the two countries.

Under royal directives, the factory will be provided with air conditioners to provide a relevant work environment for workers to improve their performance.
