Judeh, Armenian minister discuss Mideast, ties

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, Friday met his Armenian counterpart, Eduard Nalbandyan, on the sidelines of the security conference held in Munich, to discuss bilateral ties and challenges facing the Middle East region.
The ministers emphasised the strong relations between Jordan and Armenia and expressed their interest to further enhance bilateral cooperation at the regional and international forums, and to continue joint coordination.
They also talked about international efforts being exerted to find a political solution to the Syrian conflict, with Judeh reiterating Jordan's constant position advocating a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis.
The ministers also agreed on the importance of intensifying global efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, with Judeh pledging that Jordan will remain at the forefront in this endeavour.
The Munich meeting also tackled developments regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the need to conditions conducive to relaunching serious and effective peace negotiations embracing the two-state solution.
Nalbandyan said Armenia recognised Jordan's pivotal role to achieve security and stability in the region and the world.
