Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected Monday, but they will remain below their annual average. Therefore it will be cold, partly cloudy to cloudy with light drizzle and westerly to northwesterly moderate winds.

At night, the weather will gradually stabilize, clouds will decrease with fog and frost formation on the mountainous areas, the Badia region, eastern plains and parts of the northern Jordan valley, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said.

Another rise in temperatures is forecast Tuesday and they become around their annual average, but it will remain relatively cold in most parts of the Kingdom and mild in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Winds will be easterly to southeasterly moderate with frost formation on the hilly areas and parts of the Badia region, the JMD added.

Temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach a high of 10 degrees Celsius and a low of 2 degrees at night, in the central region they will register a high of 8 degrees dropping down to one degree below zero, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 19 degrees plunging to 9 degrees at night.
