Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Thursday received a number of US Congressional aides and held talks on reforms the Kingdom has achieved.
Despite regional unrest, Ensour said Jordan is making progress in implementing political reforms and promoting freedom and democracy.
He also stressed that Jordan was able to maintain its security and stability in a turbulent region, thanks to the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Jordanians' awareness.
He pointed out that Jordan is an open country and has no political prisoners or exiles outside its borders.
He spoke about the war on terror and reviewed Jordan's efforts in this regard, especially the fight against Daesh, pointing out that the victim of the actions of these terrorist gangs is Islam and its tolerant image.
On the Palestinian issue, he reiterated Jordan's stance to apply resolutions reflecting international legitimacy, that have been agreed upon unanimously by all countries, especially the United States, to finding a just solution to the Palestinian issue.
He went on to say that all the challenges facing the Middle East go back to the roots of failure to find a just solution to the Palestinian issue.
