Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Tens of Jordanian ,activists, journalists, politicians and foreign officials on Monday evening held a candlelight vigil in front of the Japanese embassy in Amman to solidarity with the Japanese people.

Participants expressed their solidarity with the people of Japan and their government, and expressed their deep sympathy in the wake of the execution of the terrorist organization Daash of Japanese citizens during the past few days.

Participants stressed the rejection of all forms of terrorism perpetrated by terrorist organizations in the name of Islam, calling for the government to exert more efforts to work for the release of the Jordanian pilot, Moaaz Kasasbeh, the prisoner of the organization Daash since December 24 / December.

They also carried pictures of Jordanian pilot, Muath Kasasbeh, who is being held captive by Daash after his plane went down over Syria's restive Raqqa province.

The Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Aasohida Nakayama said during his participation in the pause that "the Jordanian and Japanese peoples are one people, and will continue to strengthen the bonds of my cooperation with Jordan."

Nakayama said, "We thank the Jordanian efforts over recent events as thank Jordanian activists."

Japan's State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yasuhide Nakayama, thanked the Jordanian people for their feelings and sympathy and said the gathering reflected the long-lasting ties between Jordan and Japan.

He voiced hope for a safe return of the captive Jordanian pilot.
