Potential 5 fils increase for 90 octane, 1.5 fils for 95 octane gasoline costs

Ammon News - Oil specialist Hashem Aql predicted that fuel costs would increase next month by different percentages.

Aql anticipated a 5 fils/liter, or 0.05%, increase in the price of 90-octane gasoline and a 15 fils/liter, or 1.3%, increase in the price of 95-octane gasoline.

He anticipated a 19 fils/liter increase, which is a 2.9% rise, aiming to reach a minimum of 15 fils and a maximum of 20 fils.

Aql believes that the surge in fuel prices is caused by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, concerns about possible Israeli attacks on Iranian oil facilities, and fears of Iranian attempts to disrupt navigation in the crucial Strait of Hormuz, through which 20 million barrels of oil flow daily, resulting in a significant price increase and negative impact on the global economy.

He continued, "However, following the Israeli attack today and its minimal effect as well as the decision not to bomb Iranian oil facilities, prices are expected to drop significantly, but the consequences of this decrease will be noticeable in prices for December."
