Cold, rainy weather Tuesday, snowy Wednesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Monday but it will remain relatively cold in most regions and fair in the Jordan valley and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, there will be a weak chance for scattered showers in the morning hours in the northern areas of the country while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk at times, blowing dust in the deserts.

On Tuesday, it will be cold and partly cloudy in the northern and central regions while it is expected to be dusty in the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom.

The Kingdom will be affected by a very cold deep depression centered over the island of Cyprus; therefore temperatures will dawn in the northern and central areas and it will be cloudy with a chance for scattered to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and hail. Late at night, snow fall is forecast in the hilly areas, especially in the northern heights while winds will be southwesterly to westerly brisk, blowing dust in the desert areas.

A tangible in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, and it will be very cold, cloudy and rainy in the northern and central parts of the country extending gradually to other regions. Rain will be accompanied by thunder and hail as well as snowfall on the heights over 700 m, with southwesterly to westerly brisk winds with strong gusts in the deserts .

Temperatures in Amman for today are expected to reach a high of 13 degrees Celsius and a low of 4.
