Bomb in Beirut leaves citizens dead and injured

Ammon News - AMMON and Agencies- Security sources reported in Beirut an explosion targeted an adviser to the former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri, by the nameMohammed Shatah. His condition remains unknown.

The official Labanese “National News Agency ," reported that five people were killed and 15 others were injured due to the huge explosion that shook the capital.

The director of Red Cross operations, George Katana stated that the Red Cross pulled “5 martyrs and 15 wounded from the blast in downtown Beirut.”

The Public Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, instructed the Lebanese capital's hospitals to receive all the necessity of all those injured in the terrorist bombing and to provide the highest degree of care to them.

It was also added that the blast, which occurred in the vicinity of Venice hotel in Beirut was caused by a car bomb.
