A search of the vehicle revealed that it was carrying 13 Syrian refugees who had earlier fled the refugee camp, he added. The runaway refugees were returned to the refugee camp as per regulations governing the refugees.

Ammon News - MAFRAQ (Petra) – Security forces detained 13 Syrian refugees who had fled the Zaatari refugee camp, 13km east of Mafraq.

Director of the camp Colonel Zahir Abu Shehab said that the security forces in Zaraqa stopped a private vehicle after suspicion. A search of the vehicle revealed that it was carrying 13 Syrian refugees who had earlier fled the refugee camp, he added.

The runaway refugees were returned to the refugee camp as per regulations governing the refugees.
