PM visits Public Security Department

Ammon News - Amman, (Petra) Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday visited the Public Security Department (PSD) where he was briefed by PSD Director Lit. General Hussein al-Majali on a security plan prepared for all stages of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Majali said the plan aims to ensure that the polls will be conducted smoothly and that the safety of voters, candidates, observers and election officials will be guaranteed.

He added that the PSD will issue a guideline to all its personnel defining their tasks over the electoral process.

Ensour hailed measures that have been taken by the security department to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.

During the visit, the prime minister was also briefed on a plan to establish a department for Syrian refugees affairs to facilitate the process of providing basic services to the displaced Syrians.
