PM meets Iranian minister of roads and transportation

Ammon News - Amman, (Petra)--Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Tuesday received Iranian Minister of Roads and Transportation from Ali Nikzad and the accompanying delegation on the sidelines of the 4th Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development (APMCHUD) currently being held in Amman.

The Iranian minister conveyed to Ensour greetings of Iranian First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi.

He said Iranian President Ahmadinejad voiced appreciation of Jordan's participation in the recent Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Tehran with a delegation led by His Royal Highness Prince Al Hassan.

Nikzad said Iran is looking forward to activating agreements between the two countries in the housing field.

Ensour hailed progress and development achieved by Iran in the economic, social, industrial, technological and agricultural fields.

The prime minister also discussed with the Iranian delegation the Palestinian issue and hailed Iran's supportive stance towards the Palestinians, mainly its recent vote at the UN to upgrade Palestinians status.
