Saudi Arabia transfers $250m to Central Bank

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) The Central Bank of Jordan on Wednesday announced that it has received an official notification from the Saudi Fund for Development to transfer $250 million deposit which was agreed upon in accordance with an agreement signed between the two sides on November 28 last year.

The bank said the deposit will appear in the accounts of the central bank on Thursday, December 6, 2012, and that it would be used to finance development projects under a $5 billion fund the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has set to support Jordan.
