Justice and Reform Party to boycott elections

Ammon News - Amman, (Petra) --The Justice and Reform Party on Saturday announced it will boycott upcoming parliamentary elections to protest the government's decision to lift subsidies on gas and oil derivatives.

The party's secretary general condemned what he described "the government's blunder and inefficiency in the management of the country's economy", and said the party would not participate in voting or fielding candidates in the January 23 parliamentary elections until the government responds to people's demands.
