Policeman Shot in Amman Riots Dies of Wounds

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A policeman who was shot last month during riots when gunmen fired at a police station in a Amman district died on Friday.

A statement by the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that police Corporal Ahmad Maqableh died on Friday from critical injuries he sustained when gunmen fired at Shafa Badran police prescient on November 15, 2012.

Maqableh laid in the intensive care unit at Al Hussein Medical Center for two weeks receiving treatment before he succumbed to critical gunshot wounds on his face.

Unknown assailants had fired gunshots in a drive-by shooting at the police prescient during the wave of protests and violent riots that erupted in the kingdom in reaction to the government's decision last month to lift subsidies on fuel derivatives, which caused a major hike in prices.
