Decision not to hold university exams during Christian holidays

Ammon News - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Azmi Mahafzah, has instructed university administrations to adjust exam schedules in respect of upcoming Christian holidays. The directive was sent to presidents of universities and deans of both public and private colleges.

According to the circular, academic staff are asked not to schedule any exams for students on Sunday, April 5, 2026, which marks Palm Sunday, as well as on Sunday and Monday, April 12 and 13, 2026, during Easter celebrations.

This decision comes as part of efforts to acknowledge and respect the religious occasions observed by Christian members of the community.
