Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah, on Tuesday, condemned the Israeli authorities' continued detention of Jordanian citizen Abdul Rahman Mari and rejected any justification for this detention.

Following the Israeli military court's decision to reject an appeal filed by Mari's attorney against his administrative detention, Qudah said the decision of administrative detention and subsequent confirmation decisions are invalid, unacceptable and rejected.

The ministry will continue to work and pressure by all means available to ensure the release of Abdul Rahman Marei and Hiba Labadi, Qudah added in a statement.

The Jordanian consul in Tel Aviv had visited Mari twice in his detention center and visited Labadi four times, Qudah said, noting that the Kingdom’s embassy is holding Israeli authorities responsible for their safety, and it will continue to pressure and follow up for their release.
