protestors threaten to go on Hunger Strike

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - About 20 protestors on Tuesday threatened to go on an open hunger strike demanding jobs.

The demonstrators who moved from the southern city of Tafila, staged a sit-in in front of the Prime Ministry building in Amman and refused to meet the Prime Minister Adviser for Local Affairs Hayel Al Fayez.

Last day, Clashes erupted between gendermarie forces and dozens of citizens who staged a sit-in in the southern city of Maan demanding also jobs.

Chronic unemployment, that had risen in recent years, and poverty are the Kingdom's two major woes that daunted successive governments.
