German embassy switches to online appointment system

28-12-2009 12:00 AM

Ammon News - AMMAN - The German embassy in Amman announced on Sunday that as of December 8, 2009, all appointments to apply for visas and German passports, as well as the certification of signatures, have to be made via the embassy's website, and it is no longer possible to make these appointments by telephone.

An embassy statement said the new system should make it easier to fix appointments, and that initial customer feedback has been positive.

The German embassy is the third European embassy in Amman to introduce an online appointment system, after the French and Italian embassies.
