Ammon News - US President Donald Trump’s former lawyer has tied the knot with a Turkish billionaire in a lavish wedding reportedly costing around $10 million.
The star-studded celebration saw political heavyweights rub shoulders with boxing legend Mike Tyson, while guests were treated to mountains of flowers, caviar, and live music.
Alina Habba, 42, married Miller Holding boss Turhan Mildon on Saturday at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
FBI Director Kash Patel was among the high-profile guests, alongside Attorney General Todd Blanche, White House aide Margo Martin and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon.
Former heavyweight champion Tyson also attended, while rapper Nelly performed for guests at an after-party.
Trump himself was not at the ceremony and was attending a college football game in Tennessee that day.
The newlyweds reportedly splashed out around $10 million on the extravagant celebration, according to the New York Post.
The fourth-floor ballroom was transformed with around 900,000 fresh flowers brought in from around the world.
Pink and white cherry blossoms and hundreds of red roses were used throughout the venue.
One event planner estimated the ballroom, flowers and music alone could have cost around $1 million, before hotel rooms and other spaces were included.
Habba reportedly changed into three different dresses during the celebrations.
The couple also hired a 30-piece band, while a singer was flown in from France to perform Charles Aznavour’s “Hier Encore” for their first dance.
Guests were served individual tins of caviar as the first course before the celebrations carried on into the night.
Three-time Grammy winner Nelly later took the stage at the afterparty, with Habba’s children reportedly introducing the rapper.
The huge event was put together in just about three months after the couple’s preferred venue, the Plaza Hotel, was unavailable.
They then brought in two wedding planners from Palm Beach to help pull off the spectacle.
Habba’s children, Chloe and Luke, were seen being escorted through the Waldorf Astoria lobby shortly before the ceremony.
Habba previously served as Trump’s personal lawyer and later as acting US attorney for New Jersey.
She and Mildon reportedly met at an event at the Kennedy Center earlier this year before being seen together at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April.
They were later spotted together at Executive Branch, a private Washington, DC club, during Fourth of July celebrations.
Mildon runs Miller Holding, a Turkish conglomerate founded by his grandfather in 1967 with interests including energy, construction and mining.
His age has been reported as 29 by the New York Post and several other outlets.
However, The Correspondent reported that British Companies House records identify Mildon as 25.
The marriage is Habba’s third, according to reports.
