Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Rakan Qadah - Violent clashes broke out Tuesday evening in Prince Hassan District in eastern Amman between a group of service taxi drivers and area residents caused several injuries, sources said.

Eye-witnesses told 'Ammon News' that the fight broke out shortly before sunset where the two groups used knives and swords, causing injuries to several people.

Police and security forces rushed to the scene of the fight and arrested several individuals suspected of causing the fight. Others fled the scene.

Eye-witnesses added that police have surrounded the area to prevent any escalation of violence.
