Man dies after drowning in King Abdullah canal in Irbid

Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that specialized diving teams from the West Irbid Civil Defense Directorate, supported by teams from East Irbid Civil Defense, received a report about a 19-year-old man of an Arab nationality who had drowned in the King Abdullah Canal in the Northern Shouneh area of Irbid Governorate.

The spokesperson explained that diving teams immediately launched a search operation in the water, located the victim, recovered him from the canal, and transferred him to Muath Bin Jabal Government Hospital.

An investigation has been opened into the incident.
