Ammon News - Jordan midfielder Muhannad Abu Taha has been ranked fifth among the tournament's leading players in ball recoveries after the second round of matches at the FIFA World Cup 2026, according to the latest statistics released by a specialised football analytics platform.

Abu Taha registered 15 ball recoveries during Jordan's Group J matches against Austria and Algeria, placing him level with Uzbekistan's Bekhruz Karimov and Egypt's Marwan Attia.

Uruguay's Rodrigo Bentancur leads the rankings with 19 ball recoveries, followed by Switzerland's Granit Xhaka and Germany's Florian Wirtz with 17 each. Norway's Sander Berge occupies fourth place with 16 recoveries.

Abu Taha's inclusion among the tournament's top performers in the category reflects his influential role in Jordan's midfield during the national team's historic debut at the FIFA World Cup.

Jordan will conclude its Group J campaign with a match against Argentina in its final group-stage fixture.
