Al-Nashama lose their second World Cup match against Algeria

Ammon News - The Jordanian national team, "Al-Nashama", lost their second match in the FIFA World Cup against Algeria, which which came from behind to win 2–1.

Al- Nashama had maintained a 1–0 lead at halftime, before Algeria turned the match around in the second half, scoring two consecutive goals.

Jordan had taken the lead in the 36th minute through national team player Nizar Al-Rashdan.

Algeria equalized in the 68th minute and then scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute, with both goals coming from corner kicks.

The national team played its second match in Group 10 of the 2026 World Cup, aiming to achieve a positive result that would strengthen its hopes of competing for a place in the next round.

The match was held at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium in the United States, with notable Jordanian fan attendance in the stands and widespread follow-up from supporters inside the Kingdom, who gathered from early morning hours at public viewing sites across various governorates to support the national team.

Al- Nashama entered the match seeking their first points in the tournament after losing to Austria 3–1 in the first round, while Algeria aimed to recover from its 3–0 loss to Argentina and keep its qualification hopes alive.

Group 10 includes Jordan, Algeria, Argentina, and Austria. Earlier in the second round, Argentina defeated Austria 2–0, strengthening its lead in the group.

Jordan will conclude its group-stage campaign against Argentina next Sunday, while Algeria will face Austria in the final round.
