Ammon News - The national football team has stepped up its technical and physical preparations ahead of its match against Algeria in the second round of the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The national team will hold its official pre-match press conference early Monday morning ahead of the Algeria clash, as part of its preparations for the second round of Group 10 in the World Cup finals.
The press conference is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday San Francisco time (12:30 a.m. Monday Jordan time), in the media conference hall at San Francisco Bay Arena, which will host the highly anticipated match between the two teams.
The press conference will be followed by the team’s official training session at 8:00 p.m. Sunday San Francisco time (6:00 a.m. Monday Jordan time) at San Jose Park Stadium, with the first 15 minutes open to the media for coverage and interviews.
The national team continues its preparations for the match scheduled for 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23 (Jordan time), at San Francisco Bay Arena in the United States, as part of the second round of the group stage.
Al- Nashama held a training session on Friday at the University of Portland pitch under coach Jamal Sellami, with all players participating and media in attendance.
The delegation then traveled to San Francisco ahead of the upcoming clash with Algeria.
The squad includes 26 players: Yazeed Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Noor Bani Attiah, Abdullah Nasib, Saad Al-Rousan, Yazan Al-Arab, Salim Obeid, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Hussam Abu Al-Dhahab, Ihsan Haddad, Anas Badawi, Mohannad Abu Taha, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Mohammad Abu Ghosh, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Rajai Eid, Amer Jamous, Mohammad Al-Dawoud, Mahmoud Mardi, Awdeh Al-Fakhouri, Mousa Al-Taamari, Mohammad Abu Zureik, Ali Azayzeh, Ali Olwan.
The national team is competing in Group 10 alongside Argentina, Algeria, and Austria.
Jordan began its World Cup campaign with a 3–1 loss to Austria, while Argentina defeated Algeria 3–0. The team concludes its group stage matches against Argentina at 5:00 a.m. Sunday, June 28 (Jordan time) in Dallas.
