Ammon News - Jordan’s national football team will hold its official pre-match press conference early Monday ahead of its clash with Algeria in the second round of Group J at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The press conference is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday (San Francisco time), corresponding to 12:30 a.m. Monday (Jordan time), at the press conference hall of San Francisco Bay Arena, which will host the highly anticipated match.
The conference will be followed by Al-Nashama’s official training session at 8:00 p.m. Sunday (San Francisco time), or 6:00 a.m. Monday (Jordan time), at San Jose Park Stadium. The first 15 minutes of the session will be open to the media for coverage and interviews.
Jordan continue their technical and physical preparations for the match against Algeria, scheduled for 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23 (Jordan time) at San Francisco Bay Arena in the United States, as part of the second round of the group stage.
The team trained on Friday at the University of Portland field under head coach Jamal Sellami, with all players participating in the session attended by media representatives.
The Jordanian delegation has since traveled to San Francisco to finalize preparations for the crucial encounter with Algeria.
Jordan’s 26-man World Cup squad includes: Yazeed Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Nour Bani Atiyah, Abdullah Naseeb, Saad Al-Rousan, Yazan Al-Arab, Saleem Obeid, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Hossam Abu Dahab, Ehsan Haddad, Anas Al-Badawi, Mohannad Abu Taha, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Mohammad Abu Ghosh, Nour Al-Rawabdeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Rajaei Ayed, Amer Jamous, Mohammad Al-Dawood, Mahmoud Al-Mardi, Ouda Al-Fakhouri, Mousa Al-Tamari, Mohammad Abu Zreiq, Ali Al-Ezzayzeh and Ali Olwan.
Jordan are competing in Group J alongside the national teams of Argentina, Algeria and Austria.
Al-Nashama opened their World Cup campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Austria, while Argentina beat Algeria 3-0. Jordan will conclude their group-stage campaign against Argentina at 5:00 a.m. Jordan time on June 28 in Dallas.
