Ammon News - The Jordan national football team has intensified its technical and physical preparations ahead of its match against Austria at 7:00 a.m. (Amman time) on Wednesday, June 17, at San Francisco Bay Arena in the United States, in its opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team held a training session on Saturday, June 13, at the University of Portland field under the supervision of head coach Jamal Sellami, with the participation of all players and in the presence of media representatives.
The delegation will travel to San Francisco on Sunday in preparation for the Austria match. The pre-match press conference is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. local San Francisco time on Monday at the stadium’s media conference hall, followed by the official training session at 8:00 p.m. at San Jose Park, with media attendance permitted.
Jordan competes in Group J alongside Argentina national football team, Algeria national football team, and Austria national football team.
The Nashama will continue their campaign against Algeria at 6:00 a.m. Jordan time on Tuesday, June 23, at San Francisco Bay Arena, before concluding the group stage against Argentina at 5:00 a.m. Jordan time on Sunday, June 28, at Dallas Stadium.
