103 purebred Arabian horses compete in Jordan championship

Ammon News - The 2026 Jordan National Arabian Horse Championships, organized by the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation (RJEF), kicked off on Friday, at the Amman Equestrian Center in Al Hussein Youth City.

According to the RJEF statement, a total of 103 purebred Arabian horses for 48 owners are participating in the event.

The first day featured competitions for categories 1-6 designed for colts and fillies aged one, two, and three years, across 13 approved categories, based on age and gender.

This year's championship is held using the comparative judging system, which is standard in Arabian horse beauty championships.

On its other goals, the two-day event also serves as a qualifying procedure for the Middle East Arabian Horse Championship.

The RJEF said 4 competitions were held on the first day, while other rounds will continue Saturday. Petra
