Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the South Amman Police Directorate received a report on Wednesday stating that a man in his twenties had killed his mother inside their home in southern Amman after allegedly striking her on the head with a blunt object (a stick) before fleeing the scene.

The spokesperson confirmed that authorities later identified his location and arrested him.

Initial investigations indicated that he has a history of mental illness, and investigations are still ongoing.
