First group of Queen Rania’s Ramadan Umrah mission departs Jordan

Ammon News - The first group of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah’s mission departed on Sunday from Queen Alia International Airport to the Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan.

The convoy, which has been divided into four groups, includes more than 400 women from various governorates across the Kingdom who have not previously performed Umrah. The beneficiaries come from charitable and cooperative societies, civil society organizations, female members of the armed forces, as well as a number of male and female volunteers.

The groups are scheduled to depart consecutively on flights, with each group staying for three days and two nights. The final group is set to return to Jordan on March 3.
