Ammon News - Inspection teams from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority, represented by the Internal Control Directorate, carried out a security campaign on Thursday morning in the Southern Shouneh area, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate / West Balqa Police, the Central Gendarmerie Forces, and the Royal Department for Environmental Protection.

The campaign, which was also supported by the Water Basins Directorate and the Central Workshops Directorate, aimed to identify and remove repeated violations on water sources, including illegal wells and water theft.

Authorities reported that the operation resulted in the seizure of an illegal well and an unlicensed drilling rig.

According to officials, the campaign was coordinated based on prior intelligence, leading to a raid on the site. The illegal well was sealed, all violations were removed, and official reports were prepared. The case has been referred to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
