Illegal well and drilling rig seized in campaign in Southern Shouneh
Inspection teams from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority, represented by the Internal Control Directorate, carried out a security campaign on Thursday morning in the Southern Shouneh area, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate / West Balqa Police, the Central Gendarmerie Forces, and the Royal Department for Environmental Protection.
The campaign, which was also supported by the Water Basins Directorate and the Central Workshops Directorate, aimed to identify and remove repeated violations on water sources, including illegal wells and water theft.
Authorities reported that the operation resulted in the seizure of an illegal well and an unlicensed drilling rig.
