Ammon News - GAC Group has been named 'Shipping Agent of the Year' at the Supply Chain & Transport (SCAT) Awards 2010, the leading awards event for the Middle East's transport and logistics industry. It was the second time the Group has won the Award.

The annual awards has established itself as the benchmark for excellence within the industry. This year's awards featured 16 categories covering logistics, sea freight and air cargo sectors.

In the "Shipping Agent of The Year" category, the judges looked for nominees with a proven track record of outstanding services and innovation, as well as delivering time and cost savings for their customers.

GAC recently introduced new innovative solutions to help customers save costs and time, as well as improve operational efficiency and security with new offerings such as GAC Ship Lay-Up Solutions (GLUS) for flexible, global lay-up services and anti-piracy GAC Protective Solutions.
