Ammon News - AMMONNEWS – Coinciding with the events of the World Cup, Umniah organized several activities through which it directly engaged with different segments of the local community, whereby it invited a number of its customers, authorized dealers and a group of local media representatives to attend the live broadcast of the World Cup matches from South Africa at the venues sponsored by the company.
The most recent of these activities was held at Khuttar Restaurant on Wednesday, the 7th of July 2010, where Umniah’s team joined the guests to watch the match between Germany and Spain amidst a family-oriented atmosphere charged with enthusiasm and excitement.
Since the kick off of the World Cup 2010, Umniah has been demonstrating its belonging to sports and the community as well as its interest in encouraging the Jordanian youth to watch the games and support the participating teams through its presence in and sponsorship of different venues and restaurants. Additionally, Umniah has set up screens in specific areas around Amman to enable members of the local community as well as expats to watch the matches for free. Umniah’s interaction with the Jordanian community also involved the distribution of gifts and promotional giveaways such as T-shirts, caps and flags, in addition to face painting, competitions and other activities designed for the World Cup.
In addition to belonging to its local community, Umniah highlighted its belonging to its employees through organizing a special contest where those of its team members who correctly guessed the winning team and the result of the match were awarded a variety of prizes including mobile phones, an Apple iPad, a laptop, an LCD TV and much more.
