Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi stated that the Jordanian-European Summit marked a significant milestone in strengthening the strategic relationship between Jordan and the European Union.
During a press conference on the sidelines of the summit held in Amman, Safadi added that the summit was a successful and productive one, with its outcomes clearly reflected in the level of cooperation between the two sides. He noted that it demonstrated a shared commitment to developing the partnership in several vital sectors, including defense, investment, and the economy, in addition to other areas of mutual interest.
He emphasized that the summit's outcomes lay the foundation for a new phase of constructive cooperation that serves mutual interests and strengthens the Jordanian-European partnership at all levels.
Safadi explained that the summit reaffirmed the continuation of European support for Jordan, amounting to approximately €3 billion. This includes around €600 million in grants to support the general budget and implement economic projects in the Kingdom, in addition to more than €1 billion in soft loans and over €1 billion allocated to support investment in Jordan.
