Ammon News - Jordan, through its Royal Jordanian Air Force, participated in precise airstrikes early Friday morning targeting several ISIS poitions in southern Syria.

This participation, in cooperation with the United States, is part of the international coalition against ISIS, which the Syrian government recently joined.

This operation is part of the ongoing war on terror and aims to prevent extremist groups from exploiting these areas as launching pads to threaten the security of Syria's neighbors and the wider region, especially after ISIS regrouped and rebuilt its capabilities in southern Syria.
