Ammon News - An eight-month-old baby girl died on Thursday due to the extreme cold in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that infant Rahaf Abu Jazar died in Khan Younis due to the severe cold.
The sources indicated that the incident reflects the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, particularly for children and displaced people living in flimsy tents ill-equipped to withstand the cold weather.
Residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from a lack of shelter and medical care, as well as a shortage of heating fuel, amidst a stormy, cold, and rainy weather system.
