Moderate summer weather across most regions until Thursday

Ammon News - The Jordan Meteorological Department forecasts moderate summer conditions across most regions of the Kingdom on Sunday, while hot weather will prevail in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Some low-altitude clouds are expected in the northern parts of the country, with moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally become active, especially in desert areas.

According to the department’s report, this pattern of moderate weather will continue through Wednesday, with hot conditions persisting in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, along with moderate northwesterly winds that could strengthen at times.

By Thursday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected, though the weather will remain moderately warm in most regions and hot in the desert areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate westerly winds that may become occasionally active.

Temperature readings for Sunday are as follows: East Amman will range between 31 C and 20 C, while West Amman will record 29 C / 18 C. The Northern Highlands will see 26 C / 16 C, and the Sharah Highlands 27 C / 15 C. In desert regions, temperatures will rise to 36 C during the day and drop to 19 C at night, while the plains will experience 31 C / 19 C.

The Northern Jordan Valley will record highs of 39 C and lows of 24 C, while the Southern Jordan Valley will be hotter, with highs of 41 C and lows of 27 C. The Dead Sea area will see highs of 40 C and lows of 25 C, and Aqaba will experience similar highs of 40 C with lows of 26 C. Petra
