Ammon News - Preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) on Thursday revealed that tourism revenues reached $1,717.1 million during the first quarter of 2025.
According to data reviewed by Ammon, income recorded an increase of 8.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2024, as tourism income from Asian nationalities increased by 27.9%, Americans (13.6%), Jordanian expatriates (7.4%), and Arabs (6.3%), while it decreased from European nationalities by 0.6%
Tourism revenues grew during the first quarter despite an 8.4% decline in March, reaching $433.3 million.
In contrast, data shows a 15.0% increase in outbound tourism spending during the first quarter of 2025, reaching $490.6 million, compared to $426.5 million during the same quarter in 2024.
