Oil prices dropped by two dollars on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump announced new tariffs.
According to Bloomberg News, Brent crude futures fell by $1.97, reaching $72.98, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropped by $1.98, reaching $69.73.
Data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, released on Wednesday, supported the downward trend in oil prices, showing a significant increase of 6.2 million barrels in U.S. crude inventories last week, compared to analysts' expectations of a decrease of 2.1 million barrels.
